“A” is for the Arts!
“STEM” is short for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This was introduced to schools about a decade ago to reinforce the importance of learning the physical and theoretical sciences. It has worked well to spark the imagination of young innovators everywhere, but something was missing. The Arts, of course! With the added “A,” “STEM” turned into “STEAM” and has since transformed the formally hard-skill based system into a vibrant and creative new way of learning.
Art is the Heart of Tekkie Uni
From its start, Tekkie Uni has been using the “STEAM” approach in its pedagogy. This allows children to creatively think about their projects in our courses and even be able to critique their own work. While our learners master technical knowledge like coding or robotics, they are also gaining key life skills like time management and self-expression. Through these newfound abilities, every child can create to innovate!
Think STEAM, Think Creatively
If your child loves to learn creatively about technology, our Tekkie Uni courses are just for them. From Scratch and Coding to Animation and YouTube, Tekkie Uni provides a variety of courses tailored to your child. They’ll come to understand how science and the arts go hand-in-hand, while building up their confidence and independence.
If this is something you envision for your child, get in touch and we’ll explain how you can enroll your child in one of our courses.
- All our lessons take place live online. Your children meet their instructors and classmates in our virtual classes, once a week, through your home computer.
