Stories are how kids learn

Since the beginning of human history, stories have been how we learn, teach others, and understand ourselves as people. In fact, research shows that in kids, storytelling provides many psychological and educational benefits, such as enhanced imagination, improved vocabulary, and more refined communication skills. Our courses bring those skills into the digital age, teaching kids how to tell stories using new technologies.

Coding: The New Literacy

Coding is the newest form of literacy. We teach kids to code using a language built just for them: Scratch. Scratch is a block-based programming language for kids ages 8-13. Kids learn code by dragging and dropping blocks of text to create their own programs through stories. As they play with the blocks of code, they begin spark their imagination. They don’t know it, but they’re starting to learn a new language: the language of coding.

Let Their Imaginations Soar!

Stories are at the heart of our Scratch course. In the first lesson, kids learn that the basic concepts of Scratch include stage, characters, and events- just like in stories. Later, they’ll get hone their creativity in the “Story Begins” project, using code to tell an interactive tale with multiple backgrounds and events. Enroll your child into our Scratch course today, because when your kid understands the language of code the possibilities are infinite.

  • All our lessons take place live online. Your children meet their instructors and classmates in our virtual classes, once a week, through your home computer.
